Polishing is, without a doubt, one of the most delicate processes of the finishing phase. Our team’s skilled hands are responsible for this entire procedure, being aware of the fact that they must preserve the original shape of the piece and maintain its symmetry.
The last procedure that conveys uniformity to the colour of the piece (only to white gold jewels), whiteness, shine and resistance to abrasion is rhodium plating.
In addition to the equipment necessary for thick rhodium plating, our laboratory disposes of the equipment necessary to burnish both gold and silver, if required.
An alternative to the shiny effect given by the above-mentioned technique, which is sometimes required on particular types of jewellery, whether in white, yellow or pink gold, is sandblasting.
This operation is performed by a sandblasting system and it consists of making a surface granite, thanks to grains of sand (composed of aluminium oxide) being blown with compressed air onto the surface of the piece.
