CGS GIOIELLI

OUR HISTORY

C.G.S. was established in 1982 when Alberto Codrino (stone setter and manufacturing manager), Sergio Gubiani (goldsmith and model maker) and Renzo Salone (stone setter specialist) set up the company.

Their first laboratory was only composed of 5 people, however, thanks to the company’s great ability to satisfy the requests of its customers, it soon received an incredible amount of requests of collaboration to the point where it was necessary for the three partners to expand their business.

At the end of the ‘80s C.G.S. major efforts were put into product innovation.

The company has always been actively engaged with its customers and has always suggested new models that would soon become part of its clients’ best collections.

C.G.S. has always been able to create new prototypes in line with clients’ specific needs and to suggest new, innovative projects.

In 1992, the company suffered a setback, due to one of the partners’ sudden passing: that of Renzo Salone’s.

The loss of such a great figure of  C.G.S. has led to an even more intense reaction on the part of Codrino and Gubiani, who have never ceased to search for new inspiration.

Their constant and prolific creation of new models has led the company to make its way among the main Italian jewellery brands.

Over the following years, the remaining partners started to develop the inevitable ‘personal’ need to progress and to evolve, which aroused in them the desire to acquire a more profound and consolidated ‘know-how’ in the goldsmith’s field.

The rise of technology in this area has always been deeply felt and concretely lived, starting from the use of the first personal computers in the ‘80s and from the use of software specifically dedicated to 3D designs in the early ‘90s, up to the latest prototyping wax machines that the company boasts of today.
